Teaching gives me the opportunity to explore in-depth my two languages, Italian and English, and to cultivate my passion. I am in love with grammar and linguistic nuances and I’ve been lucky enough to work with a subject I love every day. International Language Center gives me the opportunity to work with all age groups. I believe that creating a parallel between two languages is a valuable tool for students who approach a foreign language. Motivation and constant support for students is a cornerstone of my teaching method. One of the aspects that I particularly strive to share with them is that it is never too late to learn a foreign language and that failure is not an option. You have simply not yet met a teacher who speaks your language. This is my mission.

My educational path started in England. The passion for English in all its facets has allowed me to research and experiment with new teaching techniques. After training as a voluntary ESL teacher, teaching English to Asian refugees, I qualified as a CELTA teacher. It has allowed me to master the basics of teaching young people and adults from all over the world. I work for ILC Chieri contributing to the effective teaching of the English language. This has become an essential requirement for the careers of the new generations.

The choice to specialise my teaching method towards young learners derives from my linguistic and artistic education. Children’s learning path is paved with games, songs, drawings and fun activities. I play with communication in all its forms, to stimulate and arise children’s inquisitive nature thus making their first approach to English fun and unforgettable.

I was just a few days old when I took the plane and flew to London, where I lived until I was 5 years old. On my return to Italy I attended International schools that allowed me to study in Belgium and Germany where I cultivated my passion for languages. In addition to English I am passionate about French and German. After volunteering at a Catholic middle school I discovered my passion for teaching, in particular foreign languages, which have always been a main theme of my life. I would like to convey to my students the desire to discover diversity without prejudice and teach them to express themselves to the fullest.

I was born in Rennes in the beautiful region of Brittany. My journey to Italy has been long and rich, both professionally and personally. As soon as I arrived, I realized that teaching my language and my culture was an important part of my life. The mission statement I carry forward to the students is the importance of curiosity and diversity.

I was born in the wide Castile and studied at the historic and prestigious university of Salamanca. Thanks to my curiosity to learn about the world and people, combined with a passion for reading and writing, I started my teaching career 20 years ago. I have taught Spanish at university and I’m currently teaching in Turin and at the ILC in Chieri. The love for my country, my language and my culture are a constant that I try to convey to my students during my lessons.

I am Venezuelan, born in Puerto Ordaz. I graduated in Communication Sciences and Journalism in the 80s. A few years ago my life changed completely when I saw myself forced to leave my country because of an unsustainable socio-economic situation. Once I arrived in Italy I realized how much interest there is towards my mother tongue. It has led me to collaborate with the ILC Institute of Chieri as a teacher, translator and interpreter. It's the perfect way to share a passion for my language and for Spanish culture.

It is priceless the privilege to live and study abroad. This type of experience has undoubtedly enriched my personal and professional life. After graduating at university in German and English I worked as an interpreter in Germany for a multinational company. Although I have continued to work on translations and interpreting for several years, especially in the technical, commercial and editorial fields, my real passion has always been teaching. For over ten years, I have chosen to direct my career towards teaching, first in middle school and then in high school. Multilingualism is innate in each of us. It must be stimulated and encouraged in every possible way.

I was born in Germany and lived in Frankfurt, until I graduated. After moving to Turin I completed my studies and specialised in the German language. I believe that, after English, German is the second most important language within the European Union. I consider teaching an opportunity to pass on to my students the unique passion for languages that I have. I am happy and proud to know so many languages, especially German which I consider my mother tongue.I will try to pass on my knowledge with passion, simplicity and playfulness even if it has the reputation of a difficult language.
