The Spanish Diplomas (DELE) are official titles, which accredit the level of competence and the domain of the Spanish language conferred by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. The Cervantes Institute is the body in charge of organizing the exam appeals; the University of Salamanca in Spain, on the other hand, deals with the processing, correction and final evaluation of all the exams.

Being a collective course, it will not be possible to alter the schedule of the lessons; the recovery of a missed lessons will not be provided.

Access
It certifies that the pupil can communicate by means of an elementary language on very familiar topics or in situations concerning immediate needs
A2
Platform
It certifies that the candidate’s ability to understand sentences and expressions of everyday use concerning particularly relevant areas of experience such as personal and family information, shopping, places of interest, work, etc.
B1
Threshold
It certifies the candidate’s ability to understand the main points of clear texts written in standard language related to familiar topics such as work, study or leisure. Can cope with most situations likely to arise during a trip to places where the language is spoken. Can produce simple and coherent texts concerning familiar topics which are familiar or of personal interest. Can describe experiences, events, desires and aspirations, as well as briefly justify his/her opinions or explain future plans.
B2
Advanced
It certifies the candidate’s ability to interact with native speakers with a sufficient level of fluency and spontaneity, carrying on the communication without any effort on the part of the interlocutor. Can produce clear and detailed texts on different topics. Can defend a point of view on general themes, indicating the pros and cons of the different options. Can understand the main ideas of complex texts that deal with both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization.
C1
Effective operating domain
It certifies the linguistic competence sufficient to understand a wide variety of extended texts as well as to recognize implicit meanings. The user can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously, almost effortlessly. It certifies the ability to make effective use of the language for social, academic and professional purposes and to produce clear, well-structured and detailed texts on complex topics, showing a correct use of the organization mechanisms, articulation and text cohesion.
C2
Higher
It certifies the linguistic competence necessary to cope effectively in any situation, showing a spontaneous ability to adapt to any context, with a high level of precision. The user can convey finer shades of meaning to all his interventions, with fluidity.
