The DELF (Diplôme d’études en langue française) is a diploma awarded by the French Ministry of Education which attests the knowledge of French as a foreign language in the first four levels A1, A2, B1, B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The subsequent levels C1 and C2 are certified by the DALF.
Course duration
About 15 months
Being a collective course, it will not be possible to alter the schedule of the lessons; the recovery of a missed lessons will not be provided.

DELF certification
A1
Beginner
Tests the knowledge at a level of language discovery: can understand and use familiar everyday expressions to satisfy immediate needs.
A2
Elementary
Certifies the linguistic competence of the elementary user: can understand frequently used expressions relating to areas of most immediate priority.
B1
Intermediate
Certifies a level of competence close to that of the independent user. It is characterized by the ability to manage interaction and to cope with problems of everyday life, during a trip to a Francophone country or in the context of work.
B2
Independent user
Can account for and sustain views clearly in discussion by providing relevant explanations, arguments and comments. It is a new level of knowledge of the language with the introduction of abstract subjects.
DALF certification
C1
experience and autonomy
Certifies an academic and professional language competence. It is characterized by the comprehension of texts implicit meaning, by a smoothly flowing communication and the production of clear, well-structured and articulated texts on complex subjects.
C2
mastery
Defined by the European Framework as the degree of precision, adequacy and comfort which typifies the speech of those who have been highly successful learners.
